In the world of open source technologies, it’s key to give back to your community.
This week, we did things a little differently.
YoppWorks was proud to host our first charity golf tournament event on June 26th at the Marshes Golf Club in Kanata.
“We are lucky enough to have our headquarters back on to such a beautiful golf course. We felt that it was our turn to really give back to a city that has graciously supported our growth over these past two years.” Sophie Alder, Marketing Coordinator
YoppWorks decided that this year our charity of choice was going to be the Boys & Girls Club of Ottawa. As personally chosen by our CEO Jack Gulas, this charity is held especially close to his heart. Jack himself is a busy dad who firmly believes in supporting local youth and providing kids with the tools to succeed.
Proudly addressing our golfing guests, Jack acknowledged that the event was not only “an opportunity to thank our customers, our business partners and our employees for supporting YoppWorks over the last year” but, “It was also a unique opportunity to contribute to the Ottawa Boys and Girls Club. An organization that makes a big difference in our local community.”
The Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa has served the Ottawa community since 1923, reaching out to 4,500 children and youth each year through after-school, weekend and summer programs that build self-esteem and help kids develop strong social skills.
The day couldn’t have been better! We had a great tournament attendance and we’re proud to say that we raised $3000 together.
Thanks again to our sponsors, we couldn’t have done this without you!
